Just to let everyone know I'm back to getting the rules fixed that need fixed.

I won't make any excusess buy I have been sick for the last few weeks and spent a few days in the hospital and just could have cared less about racing or rules. If nothing else comes from this no more smoking after 35 years, been over a month now.
YE-HAW

I hope to have these fixed next week, I have sent E-Mails to Terry and just need to get HPT to change them.

If there is something anyone wants to make sure gets taken care of let me know, or it there is something we have talked about let me know so we don't forget anything.

THANKS:

Carl: Why weigh 2450 in an outlaw modified class? If you are to be fair when adding a new spec head to a class then you should change the rules for even competion. Please take a look at the usra western modified rules.

Get better Carl. I quit smoking almost four years ago and it was the best thing I ever did. It is very nice to be able to BREATH and not hear the lungs cackle.

Take care!!!

Race on.

dryslick: We are trying to keep the rules as close to Lakeside as we can, They want to try and draw Lakeside cars if they can. I agree with some of what has been done with the rules but not all of them. I will probabily get in truoble once more for saying what I think but, OH Well.

These are the rules I had before it all got changed,***** Cars with the SPEC heads and/or Flat Tappet Cams weigh 2400lbs and have a 7" spoiler, Cars with Open Roller Motors and Open 23* Heads or cars using 11*/14* steel heads weigh 2500lbs and a 5" spoiler*****.This is how they should have been done just like USRA but, well now we will live with what we have now. The Fifty pounds infront of the mid-plate for the Spec Head will keep any of the USRA Racers away. The thought was, with the Spec Head it would give guys using the Spec Head an avantage on front end weight and allow them to use a 400lb rigth front spring. So their answer was to put 50lbs infront of the mid-plate for Spec Heads to take away there advantage and that would equeal things out. I told them that 50lbs won't stop a thing, but, it will keep guys from going to the Spec Head becaue they feel they are being punished for using the Spec Head. Well I could go on for awhile on how that meeting went but I hope this answers your question.

Carl, Not trying to be an a-hole but why are you guys leaning toward LakeSide this year??
Seems like HPT has to see which way the wind is going to blow then try to go that way,
HPT had some real good weekly shows last year with good cars & good racing, maybe one day
put on the big boy pants & have the other tracks be like HPT???
Give credit to the drivers, cars, & people of HPT instead of trying to be like whoever tugs at your
bootstraps...
Especially when LakeSide is in a rebuilding year..

Hey Chet: "You guys" is not the word too use. I was leaning towards USRA this year, as was the Drivers Forum but that did not happen. We don't know what happened this year but it is what it is and we go from here.

Now: HPT & LAKESIDE are on there own little island now because they are the only unsanctioned tracks in the area, I think the only other track thats not sanctioned is Caney and they don't run A-Mods.
