dryslick: We are trying to keep the rules as close to Lakeside as we can, They want to try and draw Lakeside cars if they can. I agree with some of what has been done with the rules but not all of them. I will probabily get in truoble once more for saying what I think but, OH Well.
These are the rules I had before it all got changed,***** Cars with the SPEC heads and/or Flat Tappet Cams weigh 2400lbs and have a 7" spoiler, Cars with Open Roller Motors and Open 23* Heads or cars using 11*/14* steel heads weigh 2500lbs and a 5" spoiler*****.This is how they should have been done just like USRA but, well now we will live with what we have now. The Fifty pounds infront of the mid-plate for the Spec Head will keep any of the USRA Racers away. The thought was, with the Spec Head it would give guys using the Spec Head an avantage on front end weight and allow them to use a 400lb rigth front spring. So their answer was to put 50lbs infront of the mid-plate for Spec Heads to take away there advantage and that would equeal things out. I told them that 50lbs won't stop a thing, but, it will keep guys from going to the Spec Head becaue they feel they are being punished for using the Spec Head. Well I could go on for awhile on how that meeting went but I hope this answers your question.
