B-Mod rules have been updated 1-7-2012.

With racers reading the rules we have been told that some things need to be clarified.
First of all I want to say “THANK YOU” to the guys that brought this to our attention.
By fixing it now it will help stop problems later, Thanks for your help guys.

The first problem we had was under the engine rules for 2500lb Head Rules. We did not have any part #’s for the RHS G.M. heads. That has been corrected and this is the rule as of 1-07-2012. (note underlined).

These are the 2550 lbs head rules.
GM may use any stock OEM production head, Vortex, RHS 12317 & 12318, Dart spec. 10320010, 1031112, World Product 011250, 012150, Bowtie 12480034
Ford may use any cast iron OEM production head with inline valves (no canted valves), World Product 53040, Dart 13311112, RHS 35302
Chrysler may use any cast iron OEM production head with inline valves (no canted valves), RHS 20300, 20301

The second problem is with the G.M. Crate engine and what can be used for carburetor and spacers. Racers were confused and thought they had to use a 500/cfm 2/bbl carburetor on the Crate engine. We added a rule to the Division 8, Carburetor and Intake: section of the rules. This is the rule that was added as of 1-07-2012.

8.7 GM CRATE ENGINE: may use any Holley 4 barrel carburetor, all components (float bowls and main body) must be Holley manufactured. Metering blocks and base plate may be billet aluminum non-Holley. No aerosol-style carburetors allowed. May use Speedway Motors part #545-64940 or Moroso part #64940 carburetor spacer on crate.

If there are any questions Please call me. Sorry for any confusion.

Hi Carl. Can you tell me what the reason is for not letting GT40P ford heads run in the B-mod class? At least in the lower weight range anyhow?

mustangman73: Well thats a good question. We (Ron & Myself) were trying to figure out that even got in the rules after you ask that question. We don't know, but, That will be deleated from the rules.

You are allowed and can run the Ford GT40P head or the GT40 head under the 2400lb weight rule. Remember no Gasket matching on the Heads, Intake or Exhaust Ports.

Sorry for the Mix-Up. and hope this helps.
