IT WAS CRAZY!! I MEAN LOONEY AT CVS SAT NIGHT….
The second annual James House memorial latemodel special brought a full grand stand and a full pit area including 30 Super latemodels from Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Nebraska set to do battle on the quarter mile. It was Looney all right Brad Looney that is… all the way from Republic Missouri, he made the trip worth while by taking home the $1500.00 to win main event, Looney lead all 30 caution free laps, it took four tries to get the race started but once it did Looney was gone, he lapped almost the entire field of 20 cars in the caution free race. Gary Gorby of Caney Kansas drove his 7c Masters bilt Collins brothers owned machine to a second place finish followed by, defending James House memorial champion Galena Missouri’s Shane Esssary #15, Bartlesville’s Joe Gorby #9 fourth and Park City Kansas driver Jimmy Seagraves #3 rounded out the top five. Heat winners were 14 Brad Looney,83 Chuck Comer,7c Gary Gorby, 9 Joe Gorby…b features went to 26 Wendell Sharpton and 21d Mark Daye
The silent auction and James House memorial t-shirts raised close to $2000.00 that will be donated in James name to the Copan lake fireworks display,Copan Volunteer fire dept,Copan schools and the James House memorial driver of the year award given out at the 2011 CVS awards banquet. T-shirts will be available at the track through the remainder of the 2011 season , all money raised will go to these canidates chosen by the House family.
